    The following apps are great apps to help both you as a classroom teacher, and your students better manage day to day assignments, extra-curricular activities, and personal tasks.
    The1.) The first app
    The following is a screen shot of how it looks when updated with the tasks that are on the schedule and the to do list for the week. You and your students can personalize it for whatever needs you have, such as keep track of homework for five different classes, or for the teacher, keeping track of daily progress in each class you teach!
    Try out this free app today!!! {Screen Shot 2014-05-28 at 9.25.49 PM.png}
    The2.) The next app

    There is SO much to be done with Google Hangouts! The greatest part being that you can use it on just about any electronic device! It does NOT have to just be used on Apple Products! How Great!
    All it takes is a Google email and you can run free with it! Connect live to professionals in the industry, go on a virtual field trip to that classroom in Jamaica, connect to a panel of up to TEN people at the same time and run a live panel alongside a chat room that is open to anyone with the link (helpful if your students want to ask questions as the panel is going), etc. etc.! The sky is the limit on who you can connect to for FREE in and out of your classroom~! Teachers could even have a video conference with parents who cannot make conferences for various reasons!

    3.) NOTABILITY is another GREAT app in the classroom that has seemingly endless uses!
    {images-2.jpeg}
    The Paperless Classroom
    It's time to move beyond stacks of paper to something smaller, lighter, and more resourceful. Go paperless today: hand out, complete, collect, and grade assignments with Notability. Combined with Google Drive, Dropbox, or Box (and even other school related apps like Showbie), your workflow is natural and simple.
    Export, Import & Annotate
    Before class the teacher can export the day's notes to Notability. Students can then import the teacher’s slides, Powerpoints, and PDFs, allowing the freedom to add their own notes and focus on listening.
    Reading, Writing, Arithmetic
    Basic reading and writing skills can be taught with the help of recording and audio playback, giving students instant feedback on their progress.
    One Place for All Your Notes
    Staying organized should be simple, not a good intention that goes by the wayside. With Notability, students can keep notes, handouts, labs and files in one beautifully-organized place.

    Are you trying to decide what assistive technologies might work best for YOUR students???
    Check out these FREE technologies built right into your MAC today!!!
    1.) Dictation
    Dictation lets you talk where you would type. So you can reply to an email, search the web, or write a report using just your voice. Navigate to any text field, activate Dictation, then say what you want to write. Dictation converts your words into text.
    {http://images.apple.com/accessibility/osx/images/vison_dictation.jpg}
    How could you use this in your classroom??? Think about that student who just can't seem to keep up with the written work assigned in your class...did you think of (at least) one?? Why not let them try dictating their work to share their learning and demonstrate their learning?! Try it today!!!
    2.) Guided Access
    Guided Access helps people with autism or other attention and sensory challenges stay focused on the task (or app) at hand. With Guided Access, a parent, teacher, or therapist can limit an iOS device to stay on one app by disabling the Home button, and even restrict touch input on certain areas of the screen. So wandering taps and gestures won’t distract from learning.
    {http://images.apple.com/accessibility/ios/images/learning_guided.jpg} We all know how easy it can be to get off task and on to another page using our iPads. Use this assistive tool to keep the learning time to just that...Learning time!
